It's all in the bag

Vintage Spools of thread you can repurpose as holiday ornaments with
sheet music also found in those bags.
Little Piper and I worked on these this weekend.

Ever wondered what's in those clear plastic bags hanging in sections of thrift stores? Loads of goodies are there, just look. You might find:

Vintage bookplates from the New York Public Library
in a bag among other curios.
Felted beads or other various types of beads.
Original paper products. These cards will be outfitted as special thank you cards.

Wooden fans. This fan was in a bag with two sets of
cloisonné chopsticks for $2.
Two sets of darling daily tasks vintage embroidery.
These were purchased this weekend and include several yards of  linen.
Letter dice.
Bits from the past; graphic plates, train ticket punches
(which are great to punch holes for ribbon to be woven into paper).

Shuffle through those bags. Something cool will be there for pennies what you'd pay conventional retail.

LOVE the letter dice, think of all you could do with that! I love the clear plastic bag section, Savers always has the best! This weekend I found 5 vintage brass light switch cover plates in the clear plastic baggies and they are so neat!

I once found a bag with 600 unused postcards in it. :OD

Those little metal stencil just took me back! My dad has been a draftsman for over 30 years, and those used to be on his desk. Back in the day when everything was drawn by hand with a pencil!

I think this is one of my favorite posts you've done - I love the things you found. Great job!
