It's the ultimate in freedom. No gifts. No worries.
If there's a Hallmark card for it, give it up-Valentines, St. Patricks, Easter, Secretaries Day, Mothers Day, etc.

Stop believing in everything you believe in. I try, I can't really afford to pay out £££ in December. Last year, I made a lot of my presents, and thrifted some too. Unfortunately we don't have the likes of Goodwill over here in the UK, our charity shops often assume that we are happy to pay new prices for 'new' items, so those really good bargains are few and far between and boy do we have to hunt for them (and I do!)beccyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11544452256539966499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9051113577658386956.post-66849766646044164372009-08-01T09:23:22.824-07:002009-08-01T09:23:22.824-07:00Oh if only the world knew the value of Thriftmas!Oh if only the world knew the value of Thriftmas!Shopping Golightlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04086883816963590796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9051113577658386956.post-53020324667905269022009-08-01T06:10:41.134-07:002009-08-01T06:10:41.134-07:00I am right there with you. My Christmas shopping ...I am right there with you. My Christmas shopping is well underway - all from thrift stores. Last year was the first year I started shopping year round and at thrift stores for Christmas and I will never go back to the "old" way again! And last year was one of the best Christmas seasons for us.dixienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9051113577658386956.post-55322370024468406572009-08-01T04:22:56.285-07:002009-08-01T04:22:56.285-07:00Brilliantly written. Of course, it is really easy now that my entire family, both my side and Hubby's, and all of my friends get homemade jam and baked goodies for Christmas. They all love getting something they will use and I love having my gift list finished in the Fall.

And no January bills! That is the best!

Oh, and when I do need to buy gifts, I am all about finding them at thrift stores. What treasures we can find there!Franceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01817017829323955078noreply@blogger.com
